Mark Feinberg begins his 19th season as head coach of the Bears men's and women's swimming program. He became a full-time member of the athletic coaching staff in April of 2008. Feinberg has been coaching swimming for the past 38 years – 28 at the college level preceded by 10 with high school and club teams.
Since taking over, the men and women have set all 38 team records. Feinberg has been named Centennial Conference Coach of the Year nine times. He has coached nine different All-Americans and 17 different Academic All-Americans.
A native of Williamsport, Pa. and a 1989 graduate of Shippensburg University, Feinberg came to Ursinus after spending 10 years as an assistant swimming coach at West Chester University, where he led the Golden Rams to multiple top five finishes at the Division II championships during is tenure. After earning his master’s degree in sports management from West Chester in 1997, he served as an instructor in the department of kinesiology until 2004.
At Shippensburg, Feinberg was a four-year swimmer and two-time All-American. After college, he went on to swim at the YMCA Masters becoming a six-time national champion. He currently resides in Collegeville with his wife and three children.
