Patterson joined the coaching staff in 2014 after a number of years in club coaching with USA Swimming teams. He brings a lifetime of swimming experience and the ability to connect with student-athletes around the pursuit of excellence.
Previously, Patterson served as the head coach of North Whidbey Aquatic Club. Before that, he worked as head age group coach with Mt. Hood Aquatics and head coach of Parkrose Swim Club.
Patterson is a graduate of the University of Washington and is a practicing architect. During his swimming career, he was a finalist at World Championship Trials and U.S. Olympic Trials, as well as an All-American and National Champion. Patterson also competed on the U.S. National team on trips to South Africa, France, Germany, and Egypt.
