At 2017 B1G’s I injured my hip when competing for the Iowa Hawkeyes, in May I underwent surgery for a torn labrum in my hip and then just three days before fall classes started I was informed my name would not be on the Hawkeye swim and dive roster. I decided to persevere and train with the Iowa Flyers in hopes I could return to college swimming. When I met the Lindenwood coaches, the team and visited the St. Charles campus I knew it would be a perfect fit for my transition back into college swimming. I plan to major in Business Systems Development and hope to some day coach.

The team was so welcoming and made me feel right at home, the facilities are so nice, and the coaches have a plan in place in order for the team to succeed. When I took my recruiting trip to Henderson, I was amazed at how close the team was. Along with the academic programs, the coaching staff and swim team helped me determine that Henderson was the right place for me.

I chose OBU because I loved the atmosphere of the University. I felt at home and part of a family. They have great academics and a good swimming program. I'm excited to see where God takes me the next four years.
