Recruiting information

Converse University is a private, liberal arts university located in beautiful Spartanburg, South Carolina. Building on a strong history of success in Division II women's swimming, Converse will add men's swimming in the fall of 2023, competing in Conference Carolinas.

Our program is built on the firm belief that an elite level student-athlete experience can contribute immeasurably to the value of a college education. Excellence in the pool goes hand-in-hand with excellence in academics, professional pursuits, personal relationships, and all aspects of life as we work to develop young men and women into well rounded adults ready to take on the world beyond the college years.

The Converse Athletics mission statement, The Valkyrie Way, says: "Together, we will rise to the occasion and be bold and resilient, as we strive to maintain excellence."

To put it more simply, we look for highly motivated athletes who want to work hard, swim fast, be excellent teammates, and build something special here at Converse.

For more information, email Head Swim Coach Logan Simpson at logan.simpson@converse.edu and fill out a recruiting questionnaire at https://govalkyries.com/sb_output.aspx?form=3&path=wcross.
