Binghamton University is one of the premiere schools in the northeast and is one of the top public universities in the nation. We are considered a Public IVY for the quality of our academic programs which rank among the nations best. We are also considered a best value school and when compared amonst our peers for the quality of our academics vs the cost to attend, rank amongst the highest.

As a big-little/little-big school, our campus has the feel of a smaller university in a larger university setting. The average class is 20/1 and we have over 120 different majors to choose from. With 16,000 students, you'll see and meet new people every day while also seeing many familiar faces.

Our swimming programs competes at the highest level in Division I and our men's and women's program competes as members of the America East conference. Our program has won 3 America East Conference Championships on the men's side (2003, 2021, 2024). The bearcats have had numerous conference record setting performances, Olympic trial qualifiers, and even Olympians.
