Coach Bruns has been coaching swimming and diving since 1984. He started coaching high school and US Swimming in the Pacific Northwest. He spent 2 years coach NCAA Div III at Blackburn College, Il. In 2003, he moved to Florida and took a job teaching history at Bartram Trail High School and started coaching in 2004 and left the program in 2019. Coach Bruns moved to Tocoi Creek in 2021 and help start the team as the school opened its doors.
