Georgia Southern Sweeps SCAD

Georgia Southern Press Release

SAVANNAH, GA. – Georgia Southern Swimming & Diving took a 158-102 win over Savannah College of Art & Design on Friday night at the Chatham County Aquatic Center. The Eagles won eight individual events and swept the relays to defeat the nation’s top ranked NAIA team.

Georgia Southern returns to the pool on Saturday with a noon meet against North Florida at the RAC. Saturday’s meet is the annual GATA Game as well as Senior Day.

“I was very pleased with how we swam tonight,” said Head Coach Laura Thomas. “We came to race and it showed. I am excited to come back home and race North Florida at the RAC. This team is really bringing it all together as we enter the most important part of the season. It is fun to be a part of it!”
