Both of this week's Division I winners come from Navy. Leading the way for the Women was Lauren Barber. Barber swept both breaststrokes to help lead Navy to a dominating win over Army. On the men's side, Ryan Waters led the way for Navy Men as he headed a strong distance group winning the 500 and 1,000 freestyles with times of (4:24 and 9:03).
West Chester also won a pair of National Awards with Georgia Wright and Thomas McCormick both having big swims at the West Chester Invitational. Wright grabbed 3 individual first places in the 200 back, 500 free, and 1650 free. While, McCormick also grabbed 3 victories in 200 breast, 200 IM, and 400 IM, and a 2nd place finish in 100 breast.
Division III National Award Winners for this week are Laura Westphal (Williams) and Keven Stahl (York (PA)). Westphal continued her winning streak this week by grabbing wins in 50 free, 100 fly, and 200 fly. She has yet to lose a race in her freshman year. Stahl picked up 4 more wins in the 200 fly, 500 free, 1000 free, and 400 free relay.
Jordan Enders and Joshua Bouma of of Olivet Nazarene are this week’s Division NAIA Swimmers of the Week. While Indian River brings in 2 Awards with Courtney Stewart and Kevin Bargate winning the NJCAA Awards.
