Northeastern Cranks Out Wins Against George Mason, Towson

Northeastern picked up a pair of wins against George Mason and Towson on Saturday.

Fairfax, Va. – Northeastern swept George Mason and Towson at the Patriots’ tri-meet held in Fairfax, Va. yesterday and today. The Huskies bested George Mason 197-155 and narrowly claimed a 179-174 victory over Towson. The win against Towson is the first in program history when going head-to-head with the Tigers.
 
Over the two-day contest, the Huskies posted 13 season bests and claimed first place 23 times. Carly Schnabel led the Huskies, placing first five times throughout the meet. Schnabel also posted a career best, breaking 5:00 in the 500 freestyle for the first time. Diver Alyssa Seales notched three first place finishes in the one and three meter dives, grabbing first overall in the three meter and topping George Mason in the one meter.
 
Northeastern’s freshmen class continued to make a splash, with six contributing points to the team’s overall score. Additionally, six were members of scoring relay teams. Husky relay teams combined for six first place finishes, four second place finishes and eight third place finishes.
