The men started the night with an explosive win in the 200-yard medley relay. Austin Hughey, Nic Eriksson, Kyle House and John Long raced in at 1:29.16 meeting NCAA A-cut standards. The two other victories came during individual races as Eriksson took the 100-yard breaststroke and Kyle House won the 100-yard backstroke. Eriksson defeated the competition with a time of 55.07, while House swam in at 49.61. Both times were new school records. House also took second in the 100-yard butterfly swimming in at 48.58.
Tessa Pena was extraordinary again tonight taking the win in the 400-yard IM breaking the school, meet, and conference records with a time of 4:26.08. Lillian Gordy also picked up a win taking the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:50.54.
Queens will return to MCAC tomorrow for the final day of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships.
