Tampa Splits with Saint Leo

Tampa Men

The No. 11 University of Tampa men's swimming team traveled to Saint Leo University at defeated the Lions by a 145-116 score to conclude the regular season.

The Spartans won both relay races, beginning the meet with a first-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay from Jordan Augier, Nicholas Stoski, Runar Borgen and Wayne Denswil in 1:33.35. The final race of the day was a 400 Free Relay victory by Borgen, Jordan Augier, Denswil and Jeremy Parker in 3:04.40.

Also collecting top finishes were Parker in the 200 Free (1:40.79) and 50 Free (20.63), Stoski in the 100 Breast (59.43), Augier in the 100 Free (46.04), Borgen in the 100 Fly (50.80) and Marc-Olivier Caron in the 200 IM (1:56.70).

UT will now set its sights on the 2016 Sunshine State Conference Championships, which is scheduled for February 18-21 in Orlando, Fla. 


Tampa Women

The No. 15 University of Tampa women's swimming team fell by a 151-111 score to Sunshine State Conference opponent Saint Leo University in the final regular-season meet of the season.

Tampa had first-place finishes from Makayla Ayers in the 1,000 Free (10:44.52), Brittany Bayes in the 200 Free (1:58.23) and 500 Free (5:14.67), Victoria Horsman in the 200 Fly (2:12.58) and Marisa Barton in the 50 Free (24.13).

UT will now set its sights on the 2016 Sunshine State Conference Championships, which is scheduled for February 18-21 in Orlando, Fla.
