Air Force's Barnosky Sets 100 Breast School Record at American Short Course Meet

Three members of the Air Force men’s swimming team competed at the American Short Course Championships, Friday, March 6, at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center  in Austin, Texas.

Junior Michael Barnosky won the 100 breaststroke with an NCAA “B” cut of 53.06. Barnosky beat swimmers from Texas, Missouri and Texas A &M.  His time set a new school record, breaking his own mark of 53.52 set in 2014.

Senior Ryan Dunne placed sixth in the 100 butterfly with a time of 48.42. Junior Kevin Jackson placed ninth, first in the “B” final, with an NCAA “B” cut of 1:37.89.

On Saturday, Dunne will compete in the 100 free, Jackson in the 1650 free and Barnosky in the 200 breaststroke.
