Gamecock freshman diver Julia Vincent will return to South Carolina with three national titles after competing at the South African Nationals last week.
Vincent took first place on both the 1-meter (263.60) and the 3-meter springboard (253.55). She also, along with her partner Nicole Gillis, won the 3-meter synchronized diving competition with a score of 286.53.
“This was a great way for Julia to finish her season,” said head diving coach Todd Sherritt. “She has really shown a dramatic improvement over the last year. This has put her in a position to (compete in) finals the World Championships. So many people came up to her remarking how much she has improved as a diver and a competitor. I’m looking forward to the future, she is a great diver.”
