On the women’s side, Arizona had three divers in the top five of the platform, with Hackett finishing first, Izzy Diamond third and Karolyn Loftus finishing fifth in the 30-person event.

Hackett finished with a score of 235.60 to earn the victory over Boise State’s Jordan Marthens, who scored 226.60 in the event. Diamond scored 217.35 to finish third. Lauren Reifel of New Mexico State (217.00) came in fourth while Loftus and UC Davis’ Lucy Lafranchise tied for fifth with a score of 216.70.

Kailtin Costello, the final Wildcat diver to compete, finished 17th with a score of 166.80.

The Wildcats won all six events in the Wildcat Diving Invite. In addition to sweeping today’s platform podium, Arizona earned both 3M victories (Ricotta and Samantha Pickens) and 1M victories (Rafael Quintero and Pickens) on days one and two of the Wildcat Diving Invite.

Arizona swimming and diving is back in action Dec. 4-6 when it heads to the Texas Invitational in Austin, Texas.

New Mexico

New Mexico’s divers complete the final day of the 7th annual Wildcat Diving Invitational with the platform event.

A single diver represented the Lobos in the final event at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center today.

In the women’s platform event, which included a total of 30 divers, freshman Aundrea Scott finished with a total of 151.50 points for 22nd place.

Arizona’s second year diver, Sally Hackett, took first place after competing off the platform for the highest score of 235.60 points. Jordan Marthens, from Boise State, followed for second place with 226.60. Another Wildcat, Isabel Diamond, filled the podium for third place after collecting 217.35 points.

UNM’s swimming and diving team pushed trough a busy week of traveling and heavy competition at both the Mizzou Invite and the Wildcat Diving Invitational. The Lobos have approximately three weeks off from official meets until they jump back into the water for another three day long invite, UNLV Invitational, beginning on Saturday, Dec. 13. ?
