“It’s always great seeing two Bronco divers in a 1-meter final,” said Bronco head diving coach John Lynch. “Both Erin and Karli did a nice job today, and hats off to Erin for climbing from 12th place in the prelims to sixth in the final.”

Jordan Marthens and Kacee Olson also competed in the 1-meter event. Marthens finished 18th in the preliminary round with a score of 220.90 while Olson scored a 202.35 to finish 25th.

The invitational concludes tomorrow (Sunday) with the platform competition.

Shelbie Holden improved from her day one performance on the 3-meter board with a solid showing on the 1-meter on day two of the Trojan Diving Invitational at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center on the campus of USC.

After finishing 18th on the 3-meter on Friday, Holden scored a 229.80 in the 1-meter to finish 13th. The sophomore just missed out on the Top 12, which would have put her into the finals.

UCLA’s Maria Polyakova knocked off USC’s Haley Ishimatsu 320.65-275.70 to win the event.
