Indiana University junior swimmer Brooklynn Snodgrass posted an eighth-place finish for Canada in the 100 backstroke final on Saturday at the 2014 Commonwealth Games at the Tollcross Swimming Centre in Glasgow, Scotland.
Snodgrass touched in 1:00.58, off her semifinal swim time of 1:00.26. Australia’s Emily Seebohm captured gold with a Games record time of 59.37.
Competition at the Commonwealth Games continues for Snodgrass on Monday as she swims in the prelims of the 50-meter backstroke.
