The Wingate University women's swimming team leads the 10th annual Savannah College of Art and Design College Invitational after the second day of competition at the Chatham County Aquatic Center Friday night. Both Wingate women's relay teams (200 Freestyle Relay and 400 Medley Relay set Invitational records. The Bulldog men's team is second to host SCAD-Savannah.
The Wingate women have 1124 points to lead the seven-team field. Host SCAD-Savannah is second with 929 points, followed by Brenau (Ga.) with 761 points. On the men's side, SCAD-Savannah has 981 points; Wingate is second with 909 points. Berry (Ga.) is third with 526 points. Competition in the three-day event concludes Saturday with preliminaries at 9 a.m. and finals at 4 p.m.
