Grand Valley State remained atop the Endless
Pools/CollegeSwimming.com Division II Top 25 for the second straight
week. The Lakers led the rankings following their November 8th
meet against Division I Michigan State. The ranking accounts
for teams' top performances from October 21 - November 17 and is the
only objective ranking of swimming for NCAA Divisions I, II, and
III, NAIA, and NJCAA.
There was no change among the top six women's teams with UC-San
Diego, Queens-NC, Wingate, Drury and West Chester. Delta State
moved into seventh and dropped LIU Post and Lindenwood to eighth and
ninth respectively. Wayne State was 10th.
On the men's side, Florida Southern dropped from second to eigth as
its top-ranked meet - a October 18 contest against Tampa. That
allowed UC-San Diego, Wingate, Queens, Drury and Lindenwood up one
spot each. Nova Southeastern (7th), Tampa (9th) and West
Chester rounded out the top ten.
The ranking accounts for teams' top performances over the preceding
month and is the only objective ranking of swimming for NCAA
Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, and NJCAA.
This year's
rankings utilize a new point system based on a 1,100 point
scale. The new scale uses NCAA time standards and a
percentile ranking of all times over the past four years.
