Sogar won the 100 (1:00.97) and 200 breaststroke (2:10.15) while breaking her own school record in the latter over the weekend in Texas’ 156-144 win over California.
Kyle Virva - Nevada City, CA
Nevada, Las Vegas, University of
Virva helped lead UNLV to a 138-126 victory over Arizona. He claimed two wins in the 100 free (45.41) and 200 free (1:39.81). He also swam on the first-place 400 free relay that posted a time of 3:00.44.
DIVISION II
Ashland University
Anderson won three events in Ashland's 139-91 win over Findlay and 194-89 win over Hillsdale and 176-120 victory over Wayne State. Anderson won the 100 fly (57.45) against Findlay, and the 100 breast (1:06.61) and 200 IM (2:11.53) against Hillsdale and Wayne State. She also swam on the winning 400 medley (breast split-1:05.72) and freestyle relays (54.94 split).
Jorge Ospina - Lagunillas, Venezuela
Nova Southeastern University
Ospina won the 200 free (1:42.93) and the 200 fly (1:53.90), both of which were NCAA DII “B qualifying standards. The victories came in a 129-64 win over Florida Southern College. He also split a 50.62 for the butterfly leg of the winning men’s 400 medley relay.
DIVISION III
Joanna Ladas - Silver Spring,MD
Catholic University
Ladas finished third in the 1650 free (18:14.65) en route to a new Landmark Conference record versus American and George Washington. She was also third in the 500 free (5:17.69) and 200 free (1:59.54).
Evan Wilson - Oak Harbor, WA
Stevens Institute of Technology
Wilson won both the 200 fly (1:58.58) and 200 IM (2:00.31) in a 171-87 victory over Montclair State University. Wilson’s 200 fly marks the second fastest time in Division III thus far in the 2010-2011 season.
