Tracy Costa

Head Coach

Tracy Da Costa is the Head Coach of Creekside’s Boys’ and Girls’ Swimming and Diving program since 2008. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, she grew up with a love of swimming both recreationally and year-round. In her 17 years of coaching, DaCosta has been part of coaching various summer, middle, and high school programs including Mandarin and Sandalwood High Schools. As Head Coach, the Knights have won three 3A State Championships; the Boys’ program in 2014, marking Creekside’s first school State Championship, and then again in 2017 and 2018 with the Girls’ 3A State titles. Under her guidance Creekside swimmers also have had 5 individual State swim titles, 5 State Relay titles, and 6 All American honors. Coach DaCosta has been the recipient of the Florida Dairy Farmers Boys’ Swimming Coach of the Year in 2014, 3A Girls’ Coach of the Year in 2018 and 2019, and St.Augustine Record’s Coach of the Year 2019. Her coaching philosophy is built on the importance of being a team in a predominately individual sport. She strives for her athletes to have achievements both academically and philanthropically by working in the past with organizations like Little Pink Houses of Hope and Hugs Across the County. Coach DaCosta graduated from UNF with a degree in Art and Computer Graphics. She works full-time at Loretto Elementary as an Art teacher. She and her husband Joey are kept busy raising their daughter Jailyn, who loves gymnastics, art and swimming.
