Recruiting information

We recruit student-athletes who recruit us. We recruit swimmers from all over the world, so if you wait for us to notice you, you may not hear from us. If you want to be part of our program, send us an e-mail to let us know!!!

Scholarship and Walk-on Guidelines

  1. Athletic awards are packaged with academic awards whenever possible, so GPA is also a factor. GPAs of 3.50 or higher for freshmen and 3.00 or higher for transfer students will generally receive larger awards. Grades are taken into account for walk-on positions – the higher the better.
  2. Consideration for awards up to tuition, room and meals require times that are NCAA DI B Time Standards.
  3. Consideration for any level of athletic scholarship, multiple times which meet our Incoming Freshman Time Standards, subject to GCU and NCAA limits.
  4. Consideration for walk-on spots requires at least one time that is faster than our Starting Point Time Standards, subject to team size considerations and GPA.
  5. Awards and walk-on opportunities vary based on how many swimmers are graduating and what our team needs are.
Large 4-year, primarily nonresidential (confers bachelors degrees, FTE enrollment over 9,999, less than 25 percent of degree-seeking undergraduates live on campus and/or less than 50 percent attend full time).
