Beth Whittle

Head Coach

Beth Whittle was appointed the Head Swimming Coach at Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR in the summer of 2018. Prior to coaching the Boxers, Coach Whittle served as the Head Swimming and Diving Coach at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN from 2010-2018, where she coached multiple Conference Champions, NCAA qualifiers, and celebrated the first D. III NCAA individual National Champion in program history in 2014. Before coaching at Macalester, Coach Whittle was an assistant coach at D. III swimming powerhouse Washington University in St. Louis from 2005-2009. During her tenure at Wash U, Coach Whittle assisted in the development of the first three National Champions in program history, and was twice named the women's coaching staff of the year for the UAA Conference. Coach Whittle also coached two years at the NCAA Division I level, serving as an assistant swimming coach at the University of Washington, where she honed technique skills and coached several Olympic Trials qualifiers from 2003-2005. Coach Whittle began her collegiate coaching career at the University of the South in Sewanee, TN after completing her Masters degree in PE - Athletic Administration at Idaho State University. As a collegiate athlete, Coach Whittle was an All-American and individual National Champion in the Northwest Conference as a swimmer, and was inducted into her alma mater's athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.
