Head Coach

Dean Brownley took over the Centre College swim team in 2001-02 after coaching at Campbellsville University for eight years, where he built an NAIA national powerhouse. In his eight years coaching at Campbellsville he had 4 individual national champions, two Olympic qualifiers, 54 all-Americans, 42 honorable mention all- Americans, and his teams finished as high as 3rd in the country. He has also been conference coach of the year four times and National coach of the year in 1998. To add to his accomplishments he has been named coach of the year four by the SCAC conference and has coached fifteen All-Americans while at Centre. "One of the things that attracted me to Centre was the strong tradition for both academics as well as athletics. I will work hard recruiting the right student athletes that will meet our need both in the classroom and the pool.” Under Brownley Centre has received national recognition for both teams being ranked in the top 25 on a yearly basis. Centre has had an athlete at the national championships every year since 2004. The Centre swim team has always had a strong tradition of academic excellence routinely maintaining above a 3.1 team GPA earning College swim coaches association Academic All American honors for the past two years. Coach Brownley is a graduate of the University of Louisville, receiving his BS in Education with an emphasis in Sports Administration. Dean is married and has three children. He and wife Jamie have two sons, Heath and Hogan and one daughter Regan.

Tasha Singleton

Tasha Singleton

Assistant Coach, Diving

Tasha is the Head Diving coach and also assists with swimming. She began working with Centre in 2019 after a long-standing career as Head Coach of Commonwealth Swim Club and several high school swimming and diving programs. She is a graduate of the University of the Cumberlands where she was an All-American and NAIA National Champion for their swimming program.
