Matt Crawford

Head Coach

Matt Crawford grew up swimming in the Sacramento area and spent his college career swimming at UC Davis, swimming under ASCA Hall of Famer, Pete Motekaitis where he trained alongside Olympians Haley Cope and Scott Weltz. He began coaching a rec/USA hybrid team in Davis, CA called the Davis Aquamonsters where he coached all ages, from beginners, to post grads, to a Paralympic National Champion. After 11 years in Davis, he spent two years as the Senior Coach at Elk Grove Aquatics Club. He began the 2018/2019 season as the Associate Head Coach and was hired on as the full time Head Coach after serving in the interim for the last 3 months of the season.

Hailey Garlich

Associate Head Coach

Garlich is a former swimmer for Grand Valley State University. After her collegiate swimming journey, she became a Graduate Assistant Coach at the University of South Dakota. During her three years at USD, Garlich helped guide the Distance and IM swimmers to numerous top 8 finishes and broken school records at the Summit League Conference Championships. She also helped lead the Coyotes to their first ever conference title with the men becoming the 2021 Summit League Champions. Next up, Garlich made her way to Utah Tech University to help guide the Trailblazer women to their most outstanding season to date. The Trailblazers had 4 women qualify for and swim at the 2023 US Open. They also broke every school record, earned multiple top 3 finishes, and had one swimmer earn Swimmer of the Year all at the Western Athletic Conference Championships. Utah Tech finished the season as the team with the third largest percentage of lifetime best swims in all of Division I.
