I chose Caltech because I want to study physics or some other science, and Caltech has amazing programs in all the sciences. I like the House system, the small size, and the many opportunities to do research as an undergraduate student as well. I will swim there, and I talked to someone on the swim team, who said that the swimmers are very kind and welcoming and generally had a good experience at Caltech.

I am so excited to announce my decision to go to the sunny California Institute of Technology! I truly have found my home for the next four years, both in and out of the pool. Not only will I be surrounded by like-minded people and attending the academic institution of my dreams, I will also have the opportunity to swim on the collegiate level. A big thank you to Coach Brabson and literally every coach in the Kanawha Valley for helping me achieve this goal!

The combination of Caltech's swim program and rigorous academics are a perfect match for my personal goals. With plenty of new swimmers starting last year, I'm hopeful I'll be part of a new wave of success on the team when I begin in the fall. I'm excited to train in sunny SoCal after spending my entire life cooped up in Massachusetts (jury is out on backstroke, though), and the prospect of studying alongside the brightest students of my generation is a dream come true. Go Beavers!

I'm excited to announce my commitment to Caltech! After meeting with the coaches, the swim team and academic advising, I truly feel that Caltech is interested in my success as an individual as well as a team member. As part of Caltech’s small but mighty community, I intend to pursue the highest levels of achievement in STEM and swimming! Go Beavers!

I'm so excited to study and swim as a Caltech Beaver in the class of 2022! This is a place where I can further my love for physics as well as swimming. I know that this team will be a great community of teammates and coaches that will help me grow as a swimmer, student, and person.

Caltech maintains a rare balance of athletic, academic, and artistic integrity which allows for an incredibly well-rounded population. I can't imagine a more supportive environment in which to pursue my passions, both in and out of the pool (and I can't wait to be a Beaver!).
