Little Rock Cranks Out Win Against Ouachita Baptist

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Little Rock swimming and diving improved to 6-2 in dual meets this season with a win over Ouachita Baptist on Saturday. The Trojans won all 10 events for the day.
 
Little Rock picked up the win in the very first event as Jessie Baldwin, Ginger Bryant, Isabelle Finzen and Emma Doll swam the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:53.21.
 
In the 200-yard freestyle, Tori Fryar took the win with a time of 1:56.95. Imre van Huyssteen followed Fryar with a win in the 50-yard freestyle as she came in at 25.37.
 
Finzen picked up two individual victories for the day. She swam the 200-yard IM in 2.14.90 before coming in with a time of 1:00.98 in the 100-yard backstroke.
 
Her first time swimming the 100-yard butterfly at the collegiate level, Laura Ruiz Astorga won with a time of 1:00.92.
 
Ann Kharlamova set a new personal best in the 100-yard freestyle as she won the event with a time of 54.07. Kharlamova beat her previous best by .29 seconds.
 
Doll won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:23.71 — her second-fastest collegiate time in the event.
 
Nuria Gallego Murcia took the final individual event of the day with a time of 1:10.71 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
 
The Trojans capped off the meet with a victory in the 400-yard freestyle. van Huyssteen, Ruiz Astorga, Fryar and Doll came in with a time of 3:39.48.
 
With the regular season over, Little Rock will now prepare for the Missouri Valley Conference Championships taking place Feb. 15-18 at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.
