Stanford's Ally Howe cleared one of the longest standing NCAA and American records on the books. Howe sprinted her way to a 49.69 in the women's 100-yard back at the Pacific 12 Championships.
That swim wiped out the 49.97 set by Natalie Coughlin at the 2002 NCAA Championships. Howe is just the second swimmer ever to clear 50 seconds in the event.
