Navy Sweeps Patriot League Championships for 6th Year in a Row

The men and the women of the United States Naval Academy were both crowned the 2017 Patriot League Swimming & Diving Champions on Saturday night at Kinney Natatorium, sweeping the titles for the sixth year in a row after each team totaled over 845 points. Both squads from Army West Point finished as the runner-up.

The Navy women earned their sixth championship, seventh in the last eight years, while the men have now captured the crown for 14 consecutive years -- every season since the squad joined the League. The Midshipmen’s 14-straight titles rank second in Patriot League history for most consecutive championships won – Army West Point’s men’s outdoor track and field team currently holds to the most with 16 straight from 1992-2007.
