Albion Men, Calvin Women Remain in Lead After Day 3 of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Champs

After three days of finals at the 2017 MIAA Swimming and Diving Championship, two conference championship records were set by the Albion men's swimming squad.

Men's Update

Albion continued to build on their lead from Day 2, winning five of a possible six swimming events while going 1-2 in men's 3-meter diving. Of the 10 NCAA B Cut times turned in on the men's side, five were posted by Albion. Sebastian Tostado touched first in the men's 200 free (1:39.36), leading a 1-2-3 finish by the Brits. Calvin's Ben Holstege had an NCAA B Cut time in the 100 back (49.98).

Women's Update

Kalamazoo moved up to second thanks to three swimming event wins, including an MIAA-record setting time of 1:43.95 in the women's 200 Medley Relay. Kalamazoo's Colleen Orwin went back-to-back, swimming on the 200 MR team and following up with a victory in the ensuing 400 IM (4:27.21). Calvin remained in first place, as the Knights went 1-2-3 in the women's 200 free, paced by Abby VanHarn's NCAA B Cut time of 1:51.58.
