FORT WORTH, Texas – No. 2 Texas (11-1) swept a second straight meet and posted a 122-91 victory over host TCU Friday evening at the Horned Frogs’ University Recreation Center.
 
Texas opened the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay, as freshman Claire Adams, joined sophomores Olivia Anderson, senior Brynne Wong and sophomore Anelise Diener to win in 1 minute, 43.02 seconds. 
 
Junior Sammie Hashbarger followed with a tight win in the 200 freestyle at 1:54.31. Sophomore Joanna Evans led a one-two Texas showing in the 200 IM at 2:02.02 while Adams followed closely behind at 2:02.49. 
 
Freshman Jordan Wheeler claimed the 50 freestyle at 23.83, where Diener followed a tenth of a second behind at 23.93.  Senior Madisyn Cox took the 100 butterfly in 54.23 while her classmate Rebecca Baxley placed second at 57.01.  Freshman Lauren Case won the 100 freestyle at 51.98 while sophomore Remedy Rule followed closely behind at 52.34. 
 
Senior Tasija Karosas won the 500 freestyle with room to spare at 4:57.90 while Cox claimed the 100 backstroke at 54.88.  Sophomore Nora McCullagh took the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.03.    
Sophomore Meghan O’Brien led a one-two Texas finish on the one-meter event with 306.82 points while freshman Alison Gibson took second at 294.97.  O’Brien completed a sweep of the diving events with a win on three-meter at 375.75. 
 
The Horns wrapped the meet with a win in the 200 freestyle relay where Rule, Diener, Evans and McCullagh were victorious in 1:33.33. 
 
Texas begins postseason competition on Feb. 22 when it hosts the four-day Big 12 Championship meet. 

FORT WORTH, Texas – No. 3 Texas posted a convincing 122-100 victory over host TCU Friday evening at the Horned Frogs’ University Aquatic Center.   
 
Texas led off the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, where freshman Josh Artmann, senior Will Licon, junior Brett Ringgold and senior P.J. Dunne were victorious in 1:31.21. 
 
Freshman Sam Kline followed with a victory in the 200 freestyle at 1:39.91.  Dunne returned to lead a one-two finish for the Horns in the 50 freestyle at 20.74.  Sophomore Jeremy Nichols followed in second at 21.07. 
 
Ringgold added a win in the 100 butterfly at 48.75 while Nichols claimed the 100 freestyle at 46.29.  Licon claimed the 500 freestyle at 4:33.34 while Dunne took second at 4:38.82. 
 
Freshman Preston Varozza posted his first collegiate win and claimed the 100 backstroke at 51.60.  Senior Hayden Henry claimed the 100 breaststroke at 57.22, just ahead of the 57.26 posted by UT sophomore Casey Melzer.
 
Senior Sean O’Brien captured the one-meter diving event with 388.80 points
 
The Horns wrapped the win with a victory in the 200 freestyle relay, as Nichols, Dunne, Ringgold and freshman Jacob Huerta finished in 1:21.99.

The TCU men's and women's swimming and diving team fell to No. 3/4 Texas, 244-191, on senior day at the University Recreation Center on Friday afternoon. The men dropped the meet, 122-100, while the women's score ended at 122-100.

"We had some really good races," head coach Richard Sybesma said. "I'm pleased with how we competed. Texas has a good team. They're a tough team to beat, but we raced hard against them."

The Races
Senior Jake Powell, junior Jakub Swierczynski, junior John Smith and senior Garrett Hills opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. Smith went on to take home second in the 100-yard butterfly at 50.37.

Sophomore Tommy Thach recorded the first win for the Frogs as he took home gold in the 200-yard IM behind a time of 1:53.25.

On the women's side, freshman Elise Forzley notched another win the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.15. Senior Ashley Dyke recorded the top time in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:06.60.

Freshman Claire Munster took home second in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:54.47. In the 100 free, Munster placed third at 52.67.

Freshman Radu Duican clocked in at 1:42.89 in the 200-yard freestyle, placing second. Freshman Dayne Odendaal followed in third with a time of 1:43.48. Duican also finished second in the 100-yard backstroke at 51.62.

In the 500-yard freestyle, freshman Katie Woods logged a second-place time of 5:12.42. Sophomore Ally Robertson followed in third at 5:14.33.

In diving, freshman Owen Moncino won the 3-meter dive with a score of 290.48, edging out Texas' Reed Merritt (287.78) by less than three points.

To close out the meet, TCU's 200 freestyle relay team of Munster, freshman Madie Sandberg, freshman Hannah Dooley and sophomore Micaela Roemer finished in first with a time of 1:38.68. The men also finished with the top time in the relay. Hills, Thach, Smith and Duican clocked in at 1:25.22 to round out Friday's performances.
