Preseason All-America Team
CollegeSwimming.com announced its 2016-17 Division III Pre-Season All-America selections. A total of 121 swimmers were selected including three-time defending NCAA Champions Emma Paulson (Saint Thomas) and Jackson Lindell (Denison). Andrew Greenhalgh (Johns Hopkins), Thomas Thetford (Washington & Lee), and Marysol Arce (Kenyon) also appear as two-time defending NCAA Champions. Also included among the selections is Emory's Andrew Wilson. Wilson holds the NCAA record in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and returns for the Eagles following a year spent training for the Olympic Trials.
Emory landed ten women and six men on the list while Kenyon had seven men and six women selected. In all, forty-eight teams had swimmers named to the list.
Selections were based on the times of both returning and incoming swimmers with input from coaches and sports information contacts.
