Northeastern Hosts New Hampshire, James Madison

Northeastern hosted New Hampshire and James Madison this weekend.

The Northeastern swimming and diving team split a pair of dual meets in its home opener at Barletta Natatorium this afternoon. The Huskies triumphed over New Hampshire, posting a 195-107 win but were edged by James Madison in the final three events for a final score of 163-136 against the Dukes. Northeastern took six first place finishes overall, while James Madison tabbed eight and UNH claimed two.
 
Junior Christine Leong shined for the Huskies, nabbing first and second in the backstroke events with times of 57.29 and 2:07.33. Rookie Megan Clark also had an impressive meet, highlighted by her top finish in the 50 freestyle (23.79) that was just .6 seconds away from the school record held by junior Sara Touchette-McGowan.
 
On the diving board, Alyssa Seales notched second place in both events, setting new season highs of 255.75 in the three-meter dive and 231.55 in the one-meter dive.
