Louisville's Andrea Cottrell was named CollegeSwimming Division I Women's Swimmer-of-the-Week for the Week of October 10-16. The reigning ACC Champion in the 100 breaststroke captured her signature event along with the 200 breaststroke at the SMU Classic where the Cardinals were edged by Michigan by one point.
Swimming against Division I Arkansas, Drury's Bailee Nunn earned 27 of the Panthers' 77 points. Nunn captured three events - the 100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke and 200 IM. The freshman's times rank her in the top thirteen in all three events across all divisions.
For the second-straight week New York University earned National honors. Last week Rebecca Gibbs won the honor. This week it was Ya Leung's turn. Leung captured the 100 and 200 freestyles to help the Violets to a 181-118 win over Division II West Chester.
Cumberlands earned their second national award of the wek when Freshman Casandra Bock swept the 50 Free and 100 Butterfly in Cumberlands' 212-53 thrashing of Union.
CollegeSwimming also selected swimmers-of-the-week for fifty-one women's conferences.
