Upperclassmen took top honors in this week's National Collegiate Swimmer of the Week awards.
Megan Kingsley's sweep of the butterfly events and win in the 200 IM helped Georgia to a 179-119 win over North Carolina and earned the Junior her first National Honor. In Division II, East Bay's Morgan McClure's wins in the 100 back and 200 IM gave Shane Pelton his first-ever collegiate win.
NYU senior Rebecca Gibbs won her first national honor (she was previously CollegeSwimming's UAA Swimmer of the Week for November 10, 2015) for her efforts in helping the Violets dominate SUNY-Cortland 205-87.
Brenau's Cortney Hayward earned national NAIA Swimmer-of-the-Week honors. It was her second time earning the award and follows a season that saw her win both the 500 Free and 400 IM at the NAIA National Championships in Columbus, Georgia.
CollegeSwimming also selected swimmers-of-the-week for 42 conferences.
