32 Make First Round of #ACOY - Public Voting Begins Monday

 

Thirty-one assistant coaches, representing twenty-nine institions have made the the first round of nominations for the 2016 Assistant Coach-of-the-Year Awards.  The program recognizes the unsung heroes of college swimming - assistant coaches - and will, for the first time, involve public voting.

Awards will be made in two categories - Established and Rising - in order to reflect assistants at different stages of their careers.  

Eight coaches, representing 91 years of coaching experience in their current positions, were nominated in the Established Assistant Category.  Among Rising Assistants twenty-three coaches made the first cut.  This award seeks to recognize rising stars in the coaching community. 

Finalists will be announced Monday at which point voting will also open to the public via social media.
