Florida State Recruits Studd

Neal Studd is moving six hours up the Florida coast to become the new head coach at Florida State University.  Studd leaves Florida Gulf Coast University where he established the program in 2006 and took it to six CCSA titles and pair of appearances at the NCAA Championships.  FSU selected Studd after one candidate pulled out this week.

Studd had turned down the Arkansas position earlier this spring but was rewarded with a pay raise and increase in scholarships.  Now he takes over a combined program with a much bigger budget and much bigger expectations.  This past season the Seminoles ranked 46th in the CollegeSwimming women's rankings while FGSU ranked 31st.  This past season Florida State finished in 9th place at the ACC Championships for both men and women.
