LORETTO, Pa. - The Saint Francis swimming team dominated the meet in a 217-42 win over Lock Haven on Saturday at the Stokes Natatorium. The Red Flash earned a first-place finish in all 14 events and claimed the top three places in 11 events. Freshmen Aimee Baur (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) and Karilyn Quon (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol) and senior Paige McLean (Bolton, Ontario/St. Michael Catholic Secondary) each won two events for the Red Flash. SFU is now 8-2 on the season in dual meets.

The meet began with Saint Francis sweeping the top three places in the 200-yard Medley Relay.

Freshman Teresa Narduzzi (West Orange, N.J./West Orange), sophomore Jessica Crumm (New Hampton, N.Y./Minisink Valley), freshman Meaghan Saettel (Miamisburg, Ohio/Miamisburg) and senior Paige McLean (Bolton, Ontario/St. Michael Catholic Secondary) combining for the event's top time, 1:55.19.

In second place was the group of freshman Aimee Baur (North Wales, Pa./North Penn), sophomore Kaitlyn Nguyen (Annandale, Va/Bishop Ireton), junior Natalie Tedjasukmana (Anaheim, Calif./Mater Dei) and freshman Erin O'Neill (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn), finishing in 1:55.68. The team of sophomore Kristin Fisher (Lakevilla, Conn./Housatonic Valley Regional), sophomore Marisa Daly (Wallingford, Conn./Mark T. Sheehan), sophomore Shelby Sanko (McAdoo, PA/Hazelton Area) and freshman Emily Anderson (Middlesburg Heights, Ohio/Berea-Midpark) combined for a time of 2:01.74 to place third.

The Red Flash swept the top three spots in the 200-yard Freestyle. Junior Emma Karell (Norrtlje, Sweden/Tby Swim Club) posted a time of 1:29.31 to finish first. Sophomore Rory O'Dell (Chapel Hill, N.C./Northwood) followed in second with a time of 2:04.65, while Anderson came in third, with a pace of 2:12.28.

Saint Francis claimed the first three finishers in the 200-yard Breaststroke. McLean won the event, with a time of 2:30.09. Freshman Sabrina Bowman (Vandergrift, Pa./Saint Joseph's) touched the wall in 2:30.76 to finish second and Crumm placed third, with a time of 2:31.35.

SFU then took the top three places in the 200-yard Backstroke as junior Katie Lafferty (Bremen, Ind./Bremen) won the race, touching the wall in 2:12.57. Freshman Laura Patrick (Lake Charles, La./St. Louis Catholic) finished in 2:19.78 to claim second, while Fisher was third, with a pace of 2:21.00.

In the 50-yard Freestyle, Tedjasukmana earned the win, with a time of 24.94. Karell placed second, with a pace of 25.84, while sophomore Amanda Crnic (Conway, Ark./Conway) was fourth, with a time of 27.12.

The Red Flash then earned the top three spots in the 100-yard Butterfly. Quon picked up her first win of the day, finishing in 1:01.50. Patrick placed second in the event, with a time of 1:04.62, while Sanko followed in third, with a pace of 1:06.66.

Saint Francis also claimed the top three places in the 100-yard Freestyle, with Baur leading the group, with a time of 54.35. Sophomore Marrissa Walters (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School) finished second, with a time of 58.40, while freshman Meghan Albertelli (Johnstown, Pa./Westmont Hilltop) was third, with a time of 58.79.

McLean's second win of the day came in the 500-yard Freestyle, where she posted a time of 5:21.78. Freshman Emily Graziano (Jeannette, Pa./Penn Trafford) was second in the event, with a pace of 5:22.55, while Walters was fifth, with a time of 6:08.05.

The Red Flash swept the top three places in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay. The group of Tiberino, Albertelli, Tedjasukmana and Patrick came in first, with a time of 1:43.27.

Bowman, Anderson, sophomore Fallon Nelson (Mount Pleasant, Pa./Mount Pleasant) and O'Neill combined for a time of 1:45.22 to place second, while Lafferty, Saettel, junior Kasey Marks (Las Vegas, Nev./Bishop Gorman) and Narduzzi came in third, with a pace of 1:46.00.

The standings in the 100-yard Backstroke featured three SFU swimmers in the top three. Baur earned her second win of the day, with a time of 1:00.26. Freshman Kristen Toth (Silver Spring, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) was second, with a pace of 1:04.32, while Sanko came in third, with a time of 1:09.94.

In the 200-yard Butterfly, Bowman picked up a first-place finish, touching the wall in 2:11.57. Lafferty claimed second-place, with a time of 2:19.37, while Narduzzi was fourth, with a pace of 2:32.36.

Saint Francis swept the top three spots in the next two events, the 100-yard Breaststroke and 200-yard IM.

In the 100-yard Breaststroke, Quon earned her second victory of the meet, with a time of 1:12.00. Finishing close behind was Daly, with a time of 1:12.59, while Marks was third, with a time of 1:17.85.

O'Dell claimed the top spot in the 200-yard IM, with a time of 2:18.58. Saettel finished second, with a pace of 2:19.32, while Graziano followed her with a time of 2:19.94.

In the final event of the day, the 400-yard Freestyle Relay, the Red Flash again swept the top three places.

The top team in the event was made of up Walters, Tiberino, Toth and Graziano for a time of 3:48.78.

O'Dell, Quon, Fisher and Nelson placed second, with a time of 3:55.87, while Crnic, Nguyen, Daly and Karell was third, with a time of 4:04.96.

The Red Flash takes a month-long break before returning to action on January 13 at Youngstown State. That meet is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. The Penguins are 2-2 in dual meets this year.
