COACH’S CORNER
Quotes by head coach Bill Tramel

On the meet:
Really pleased with everybody today. We had some really great performances time wise. Those without phenomenal standout times, they raced very tough. The one thing that I see coming out of this meet is how we finished. We finished so strong. We were behind in the first 50 of every single race and we came back in almost every single one of them.

On the 200 fly and 100 fly:
The butterflies were exceptional. Those two races, we probably, from the scouting report, shouldn’t have won. In the 200 fly, Shir [Wasserman] and Maddie [Schaffer] were a full second behind at the 50 and still a full second behind at the 100, but they still came back and ran down Ohio to beat them by almost two seconds. That was just a real tough swim. In the 100 fly, Chloe [Parsemain] was just a total baller. That was such a big time swim for her. Just really a gutsy swim.

On the divers:
Really pleased with how our divers did as well. Qualify for zones is certainly a feat in and of itself. I’m very happy with how we did today.
