Senior Madisyn Cox posted the nation’s fastest time in the 200 IM in the preliminary round at 1:53.86 and lowered that mark by over a second on her way to her first individual school record at 1:52.83. The 10-time All-American toppled the seven-year-old school mark of 1:53.33 set by two-time U.S. Olympian Kathleen Hersey at the 2009 NCAA Championships.

Cox led off on butterfly at 24.95 seconds before splitting 28.44 on the backstroke. She split 32.49 seconds on her dominant stroke, breaststroke, before coming home in 26.95 seconds to produce the record-setting 1:52.83. Texas sophomore Nora McCullagh added a seventh-place mark of 1:58.80.
