Anderson Signs NLI with MSU-Moorhead

Minnesota State University Moorhead head swimming and diving coach Todd Peters has announced that Breah Anderson of Fargo, N.D., has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at MSUM starting this fall.

Anderson had a decorated career at Fargo North High School. She is a four-time North Dakota state individual champion, winning the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle titles twice each. She also was part of the winning 400 freestyle relay in 2014. She was also a member of the state-record holding 400 free relay team. Anderson holds school records in the 50 free, 100 free and as part of the 200 and 400 free relays.

Her career-best times are 23.48 in the 50 free (which would have been 14th at the NCAA DII National Meet last year), 51.70 in the 100 free and 1:55.54 in the 200 free. Anderson was named the North Dakota and Eastern Dakota Conference Senior Athlete of the Year in 2015.

"We are very fortunate to add Breah Anderson to our team," Peters said. "Breah's high school coach, Talia Butery, highly recommended her, saying Breah is the perfect team member and a great leader.  Breah has DII National level times and she will be a huge contributor on our relays as we make a move towards the top of the DII ranks.  Coach Pat Anderson (Breah's dad) has really prepared his daughter for the next level of swimming and it's great that he will continue to be close to her and have the ability to easily watch her college meets. Our team is excited to have Breah join them and to push them every day in the pool."
