Texas's Cox, Ohio State's McHugh Lead National & Conference Swimmers-of-the-Week

While the #2 Texas women weren't perfect in their 1-1 weekend against NC State and North Carolina, Junior Madisyn Cox was - going six-for-six and winning five different events.  Those swims earned her CollegeSwimming.com Division I Women's Swimmer of the Week.  Matt McHugh, of #22 Ohio State was similarly-successful, going four-for-four individually and adding three relay wins to help the Buckeyes to wins against Cleveland State, Miami-OH and Eastern Michigan

 

In addition to National Swimmers-of-the-Week, CollegeSwimming.com selected 121 conference swimmers-of-the-week out of 77,83 swimmers competing this weekend.

Queens University of Charlotte Swept Division II honors with Rostyslav Fedyna and Kyrie Dobson winning respectively.  Aron Zhang (Hartwick) and Emma Paulson (St. Thomas) got the nod in Division III.   Daria Belova and Wesley Coles of Fresno Pacific were named in NAIA while Indian Rivers' Christina Loh and Craig Emslie were selected as Junior-College Swimmers-of-the-Week.  It was Loh's second-straight selection.

In addition to the eight National Swimmers-of-the-Week, 121 swimmers were selected by CollegeSwimming.com as Swimmers-of-the-Week for their respective conferences.  These selections are separate from selections made by each conference.

  • Weekly results submitted to CollegeSwimming.com each Monday morning by 8:00 AM EST
  • The number of individual and relay event wins in a given weekend
  • The strength of each swim (using CollegeSwimming.com's Point Values)
  • Team outcome (i.e. win or loss)
