South Georgia
College plans to add golf and swimming for the 2010-2011 academic year. The two-year college in Douglas, Georgia participated as a club team this past season, but will elevate to varsity status in the fall.
Not to be confused with Georgia Southern University, SGC continues the growth of scholarship-offering junior colleges. Paul Poorman from nearby Warner Robins is a recent signee. SGC
is a member of the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association and the
National Junior College Athletic Association.
