I fit it really well with the whole team and the coaching staff is very energetic and show a lot of dedication to the team. I also fell in love with the campus and the student body! Can’t wait to be a Yellow Jacket! #R-MC22
Coach Thacker will bring Roanoke College swimming to the top and I am excited to soon be a part of it. Great academics and a great opportunity to be a part of something as special as this!
Strong academics and an amazing coach!
I chose Washington and Lee not only because of their fantastic academics but also because of how impressed I was with the team environment; the coaches who work so hard, the swimmers who were so welcoming, and the program whose only directions were up and forward. That is an environment I look forward to being a part of and am so blessed to have been offered a place on.
I absolutely can't wait to swim for Coach Thacker at Roanoke College! Once I stepped on campus I was hooked by the overwhelmingly positive environment. Roanoke College gives me the opportunity to be a part of the growth of a new swim program while also getting a degree in biological sciences with innumerable amounts of research opportunities. Coach Thacker's training regimen and competitive attitude really sold me and made me want to pack up and move to Roanoke right away. I can't wait to be a Maroon!
I chose Roanoke College because I loved the environment. I felt right at home right when I stepped on campus and I am excited at the prospect of helping build something special for the school's inaugural team. I am very excited to work with Coach Thacker as well as the rest of my teammates. Go Maroons!
I chose Washington and Lee because of its strong academics, great swim team, and beautiful campus.
Great academics, a great team, a great atmosphere, and beautiful part of the country. What else could I ask for? W&L will give me the opportunity to grow and thrive both academically and athletically.
In searching for small private schools near the Blue Ridge Mountains I discovered Randolph College and immediately could see myself being a part of the college experience. Although my first experience was virtual, it was a great introduction. Motivated by the privilege of being considered as a student-athlete at Randolph it was great to also learn of the excellent academics, small class sizes, excellent tutoring options and the opportunity to contribute immediately as a WildCat on the Inaugural Men’s swimming program. I like the fact that Randolph seems to function more like an organism that adapts to the changing needs of students rather than a rigid organization of standardized entry metrics. I appreciated the helpful attitudes of all I have encountered in the application submittal process. Also did I say the campus at Randolph is absolutely beautiful? So as the journey continues, Randolph is my choice but it is important to select a school that also selects me as a student athlete who embodies what Randolph college wants to portray to the world.
