Lindenwood University swim team will challenge me to work hard and become faster as a Lindenwood Lynx. I am looking forward to the academic challenges and the team spirit I saw on my college visit.
Lindenwood University (Belleville)
Campbellsville University is an awesome school who provides many opportunities to its students. The team feels like home and I'm excited to be a part of it.
I'm officially announcing my commitment to Loyola University New Orleans because out of all the schools I visited, it felt the most like home. I was very impressed by Coach Natal during my visit. He left the impression on me that he believes in every one of his swimmers abilities and values individual character just as much, if not more, as winning. Along with Coach Natal, I also felt welcomed by the team. Just in my short trip, It felt as if I had already made solid connections with my future teammates. It's an incredible opportunity to be a part of a new swim program at a school like Loyola. To know that I will be able to contribute to the beginning of such a program is something I am very proud of. Even though I will be swimming at Loyola, sports was only half of my decision. It's important to remember that in the phrase "Student-Athlete", the student always comes first. While on my trip, I was able to sit in on two classes and take a tour while on campus. Seeing the culture on campus and what will be expected of me while attending and representing Loyola was an important part of my decision. Having the opportunity to be somewhere I love while also receiving a Jesuit education was something I could not pass up. I'm beyond thankful for the opportunity Coach Natal and Loyola University New Orleans has given me. I intend to make the most of these next four years and to be an outstanding member of the wolf pack!
Loyola University New Orleans
I chose Midland because it seemed like a great fit for me both academically and athletically. Everyone at Midland that I met and with during my time visiting was extremely friendly and provided me with information that was exactly what I'm looking for in a school. I am also excited to be apart of the inaugural team and be able to work with coach Bubb to help start our tradition of excellence. Go Warriors!!
I chose UC because of the diversity of the team members (many international student-athletes), as well as the incredibly dedicated coaching staff. I knew as soon as I stepped on the campus of UC that it was going to be the school for me. The smaller sized campus and classes seemed comfortable and very personable. The hospitality of all the students; swimmers and non-swimmers, made me feel as though I was welcomed and already accepted. The team and coaches were the overall deciding factors for me. I felt the coaches were invested in every athlete achieving their goals, and they seemed to really value a balance between athletics and academics which is very important to me. I can't see myself on any other college team and am extremely excited to have Coach Skelly and Coach Spanjers to help me achieve my swimming (and academic) goals.
I am looking forward to attending Loyola and swimming at the college level. Touring the campus and meeting Coach Natal, made me certain this was the right college for me. I look forward to studying BioMed and Dr. Haubor from the biology department has already welcomed me! I’m ready for the adventure, Go Wolfpack!
