The way Lexi Kuska, the assistant coach, described the team and the way all of the girls welcome newcomers really caught my attention. I've always wanted to be a part of a very close-knit group and it seems to me that this team is exactly that way. Not only was it the team environment, but the way they run their program and structure it was very appealing to me. There are also so many benefits and helpful advisors to aid me in not only my athletics, but ensure that my academics always stay on track. I left being so excited to meet the team and Kyle Clements, the head coach.

UIC is like a close yet competitive family. They remind me of my current team and I absolutely loved how the coaches and swimmers interacted with each other while on my visit. It helped that I’ve known someone on the team from my club team, but while with my hosts, I was treated like I was a long-time friend also.
