- Pre college:
- Career Best Times:1:50.49 in the 200-yard freestyle; 4:58.88 in the 500-yard freestyle; 54.19 in the 100-yard backstroke; 1:57.12 in the 200-yard backstroke; 55.18 in the 100-yard butterfly; 2:01.74 in the 200-yard butterfly.
General: A tremendous backstroker and butterflier who will make an immediate impact in those events in the Tar Heel lineup...ranked third on UNC's preseason depth chart in the 100-yard backstroke and tied for second in the 200-yard backstroke...her best time in the 200 backstroke, 1:57.12, would be tied for second in school history with incoming freshman Rebecca Brooks...she is also ranked fifth on the depth chart in the 100-yard butterfly...was a four-time 4-A high school state champion in the 100-yard backstroke
Long Course Highlights: Swam a best time of 2:14.25 in the 200-meter backstroke at the 2009 U.S. Open which is just 0.39 seconds off the 26-year-old long course school record held by Sue Walsh...also went a best time in the 100-meter butterfly with a time of 1:02.89 at the U.S. Open.
Graduated from Chapel Hill High School on June 13, 2009...lettered in swimming at CHHS all four years and swam for North Carolina Aquatic Club for the past 11 years...was the most valuable swimmer in high school for three years...rookie of the year her freshman season...team captain her senior year...four-time 4-A high school state champion in the 100-yard backstroke...named PAC-6 Swimmer of the Year in 2007...North Carolina state record holder in the 100-yard backstroke...second person in North Carolina history to both break a state record in an event and win it all four years of high school...member of the 2007-08 4-A Chapel Hill High School state championship team...high school All-America in the 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard butterfly, 500-yard freestyle, 4x100 yard freestyle relay and 4x50 yard medley relay...member of the 2007-08 National Junior Team...had a 10th place finish in the 100-meter backstroke at the 2005 Speedo Junior Nationals...national qualifier in the 100 and 200-yard backstrokes...2008 Olympic Trials qualifier...broke Southern Zone meet record in the 100-meter backstroke in 2004...state record holder in the 200-yard and 200-meter backstrokes.
