Finished 5th in the 1650 free at the NCAAÕs with a time of 14:52.17. Swam the second leg in the 1st place 800 free relay at the NCAAÕs, finished with a time of 6:14.14, which was and NCAA and school record time.

2006-Defended his title as the 200-meter free Senior National champion and placed third in the 100-meter free. 2005- At the 2005 Senior Nationals, was the South African champion in the 200-meter free and finished third in the 400-meter free, Was a six-time National South African Junior Champion in the in 2001 and 2002.
