Indiana Women Beat Florida; Hoosiers Swept By Texas

The Indiana University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams had great performances against two top-10 teams on Friday night in Austin, Texas. The three teams swam a long course meter program on Friday, with a short course meet to be held on Saturday.

The Indiana women beat Florida, 159-139, but lost to Texas, 168-130. The Hoosier men fell to the 2015 NCAA National Champion Texas Longhorns, 201-98, and fell to Florida, 157-143.

"Today marked the first victory ever for one of our teams over the Florida Gators,” head swimming coach Ray Looze said. “I’m very proud of both our men and women and how hard they fought against two of the historically top programs in the NCAA. Tomorrow, more opportunities exist to improve upon this accomplishment."
