After setting three new school records Thursday, the Colorado State University-Pueblo swimming and diving team, shattered another trio of school records on Friday at the CMU Invite. Two days into the three day event, CSU-Pueblo sits in fifth place.

Magdalena Contreras-Gomez (So., San Luis Potosi, Mexico) crushed her own school record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 58.91. Contreras-Gomez became the first Pack swimmer to touch the wall in the less than a minutein this event and posted the fifth fastest time at the CMU Invite.

Emily Foster (Sr., Santa Barbara, Calif.) eclipsed her own school record in the 100 yard breaststoke with a time 1:07.55. Foster won the B final and recorded the sixth fastest time in the event.

In one of the highest scoring events of the day for the Pack, Kristina Chang (Fr., Missouri City, Texas)broke the school's 100 yard backstroke record with a time of 59.19. Chang earned the top time in the B final and garnered nine points for the Pack.

Though she did not set the school record, Arianna Rohde (Fr., Anchorage Alaska) earned 15 points for the Pack in the 100 backstroke with a fourth place finish in the A final. Rohde's backstroke time of 59.40 ranks as the second fastest in school history.

Both Rohde and Chang broke the previous school record by almost three seconds. They are the first duo Pack swimmers to break the minute barrier in the 100m backstroke.

After posting a school record and B cut time of 5:09.24 in the 500 yard freestyle on day one, April McDonough (So., Frisco, Texas) returned to the pool to race her way to a third place finish in the 1000 yard race. McDonough's time of 10:40.50 earned the Pack 16 points towards their team score.

The Pack also swam the second fastest 800 yard freestyle relay time in school history. The team of Contreras Gomez, McDonough, Samantha Sannes (So., Torrance, Calif.), and Rachel Leach (Fr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) posted a time of 8:19.01 to earn another 18 points for the team.
