Campbell Beats North Carolina A&T, Falls to Vandy

Campbell split Saturday’s meet at the Johnson Aquatic Center, topping North Carolina A&T 219-24 and falling to Vanderbilt 153.5-107.5.

Vanderbilt also defeated A&T 210-27.

Campbell moved to 5-4 in dual competition this season.

Geena Squatino reeled off a 10:43.15 in the 1,000 free for the Camels first win of the day, and Michelle Case posted a 2:05.68 in the 200 fly for another win.

Case also posted a win in the 100 free with a 52.38, a personal best for the season. Chloe Read followed Case in the 100 free with a time of 53.66.

One event later, Karah Sizemore turned in a 2:07.24 for a victory in the 200 back, and Sarah Jabusch posted a 5:12.54 in the 500 free for a CU win.

Campbell also claimed the day’s final event, the 400 free relay, led by Case, along with Read, Sindija Silina and Kat Costin, with a time of 3:33.72.

Vanderbilt’s Summer Brown (1:54.80, 200 free), Johanna Goldblatt (59.73, 100 back) and Kathryn Coughlin (1:06.75, 100 breast) took early wins for the Commodores.

The Camels head to the Georgia Tech Invitational Nov. 19-21. Campbell returns home on Feb. 6, hosting UNC Wilmington and Mount St. Mary's.
